Dr. Edward Shabez received his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona and his Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, Nutrition and Food Science from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois.
Dr. Shabez has completed the majority of the course work required for a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine from Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture.
Prior to becoming a Naturopathic Physician Dr. Shabez served in the U. S. Army as a First Lieutenant, serving in
both the 82nd Airborne, Ft. Bragg, NC and the First Infantry Forward in Germany.
He has over twenty years
experience as a personal trainer, massage therapist and nutrition counselor. He also teaches the Western medical science courses in a doctoral acupuncture program in Tucson.
Dr. Shabez is a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician and Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician. He is an American Red Cross Certified CPR, AED and First Aid Instructor.
Dr. Shabez’s approach to medicine is to help patients understand the interconnectedness of each of the body’s organ systems. Illnesses do not occur in isolation affecting only one organ system.
Understanding the relationships between each system and bringing balance to the dysfunctions is key to regaining optimal health.
Dr. Shabez utilizes a variety of treatment modalities in an effort to find the optimal combination of therapies that help an individual bring balance to their body.
